GUWAHATI RESEARCH PROGRAM VOL. VII
MICROCLIMA is happy to be back in the far east India with the seventh edition of The Guwahati Research Program.
Guwahati is the largest city of Assam and Northeastern India, a major riverine port city and one of the fastest growing cities in India, situated on the South Bank of the river Brahmaputra. The residency has been developed outside of art institution frameworks and is based upon the investigation of the city of Guwahati, its surrounding area and its cultural peculiarities.
The Guwahati Research Program brings mainly young artists based in Italy to Guwahati where they are encouraged to gain an understanding of the local context and then develop on-site projects and cultural observations based on multi year in depth exploration.
Guwahati has been an adventurous base for many artists and researchers since 2012.
For the 2018 edition, from January to March, the crew researching in Assam will be composed of:
Giuseppe Abate, Edoardo Aruta, Alessandra Messali, Thomas Nadal Poletto and Joe Sartorius.
